Help us turn $14M in California donations into a movement. We're looking for a relationship-builder to own donor stewardship and community engagement in the San Francisco Bay Area — and co-build the strategy we'll replicate globally.

Giving What We Can is on a mission to make effective and significant giving a cultural norm — working towards a world without extreme poverty, animal suffering, and existential risk. California donors gave over $14M in 2025, with $11.5M coming from just the top 50, almost entirely without proactive stewardship. This role changes that.

Ideal candidate:

• 5+ years in fundraising, donor stewardship, major gifts, or high-touch relationship management
• High EQ — reads a room, adapts naturally, builds trust fast
• Energised by a full calendar of meetings, coffees, and events
• Highly organised, CRM-driven, and strategic about where to invest time
• Agentic — sees what needs doing and gets on with it
• Genuinely cares about effective giving and the problems we're working on

The above are desired skills/experiences — the successful candidate doesn't need to have all of them.
