This is a feature-length documentary made by For Humanity podcast host (and award winning journalist) John Sherman, following his journey to San Francisco to meet other people dedicating their lives to warning about, and preventing, AI (x-)risk; and see where the technology is actually being built. Aimed at a lay audience, it's straight talking, and at times emotionally raw. Recommend watching and discussing with (non-EA) fiends and family, and, if you are familiar with AI x-risk, explaining things to them in more depth[1].
I feel like in EA, we intellectualise this risk far too much. Sometimes it's good to look at it from more of an "on the ground" perspective, where fear - and anger - are motivators of practical action, not things to always be avoided.
I also think it has a great title, with references to both the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' Doomsday Clock, and the "suicide race" of AGI development.

Or get them to read The Compendium as a chaser. (Their initial reaction may well be incredulity; The Compendium does a good job explaining how it's actually basically all really happening.)
