Introducing the World Association

Hi, I'm Blaise from Hungary. I'm working on a global democracy and basic income experiment called the World Association, and I'd like to share its first version here to get some feedback and connect with others who might find it interesting.
The problem
Humanity faces challenges that require global coordination, but there's no entity with democratic legitimacy to make and enforce decisions at that level.
The new opportunity
Recent technological advances have made global democracy more feasible:
- Proof-of-personhood systems now provide affordable (even free) ways to verify unique human identities, removing a major barrier to global voting.
- Blockchain tools provide a sustainable way to build and fund projects like this without relying on donations.
What I'm building
The goal is to create an organization and online platform that empowers individuals worldwide to participate privately in democratic global decision-making, leveraging cutting-edge technologies:
- The app is a fork of Snapshot, the leading voting platform in the crypto space.
- Integrated with Coinbase Smart Wallets, enabling very quick sign-ups even for those new to crypto.
- Uses zkMe's MeIDs for proof of personhood, with alternatives like Coinbase Verifications and Binance Account Bound tokens.
- Issues Global Voter IDs as non-transferable ("soulbound") tokens on Base (ERC20), allowing anyone to use them for other purposes.
- Distributes a basic income in its official currency, the world drachma, streamed to verified members in real time using Superfluid.
- The organization is registered in Switzerland through OtoCo, a company focused on blockchain native legal entities.
Open to ideas
This is still an early experiment and I'm curious to hear your thoughts. What do you think could be refined or added, both in concept and implementation?
