EA Cyprus Website Launch

We're excited to announce the launch of the Effective Altruism Cyprus website: altruism.cy!

The website aims to serve as a central hub for our yet small but aspiring to grow EA community in Cyprus, providing introductory information about EA, valuable resources and a self-assessment tool for exploring personal alignment with EA principles. Special thanks to Olga (@Chukotta) for her fantastic work on designing the site and helping shape its content, and to Haris (@Haris Shekeris ) and Cagla (@Cagla Elektrikci ) for their reviews and suggestions! 

Cyprus's unique position as a bridge between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, combined with its accessibility and English proficiency, makes it an ideal location for fostering international EA connections. With approximately 1.2 million residents including a significant expat community, we see tremendous potential for cross-cultural collaboration in effective altruism. Cyprus's diverse population has more than 20% expats, and we consider offering the website eventually in several languages, including Bulgarian, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Arabic, as well as in Greek and Turkish for the native communities.
