EA Funds' Grantmaking Pause runs 1 June - 31 July, Apply by 9 May

As mentioned in the announcement of EA Funds’ merger with CEA, Effective Ventures and the Centre for Effective Altruism will be instituting a two-month pause on processing new EA Funds grant recommendations from 1 June - 31 July for operational reasons related to the spinout process.
When applying to EA Funds, if your request is time-sensitive, please indicate your ideal decision date and explain the reason in your application.
Grant requests submitted to EA Funds after 9 May will not be processed until at least 1 August. We likely won’t evaluate all applications by 1 June, but we will prioritize time-sensitive and promising applications and aim to complete evaluations for those before the pause.
While we may not be able to make final decisions on all applications by 1 June, in many cases, we will likely be able to indicate the likelihood that an application will be recommended for funding—however, all recommendations remain contingent on passing due diligence. For grants recommended by 1 June, grantees must complete due diligence by 10 June in order for payments to be issued before grant processing resumes on 1 August. You can review the due diligence document checklist here and prepare the required materials in advance to help speed up the process.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to funds@effectivealtruism.com.

Thanks for the heads up! I would add the dates to the title, as my first impression was that this is an immediate pause or smth.

If we apply for funding after June 1st, how likely is it that we can get a response from the EA infrastructure fund by mid-August if we state that need in the application?
In the post "Funds and CEA are merging", it was said:
EA Funds will be accepting and evaluating grant applications throughout the merger and spinout process, so you can continue to submit applications. […] Grant requests submitted to EA Funds after 9 May will not be processed until at least 1 August.”
Because it says that the applications will be evaluated continuously, I had interpreted 'processing' to mean the due diligence and payout, not evaluation. But in this post, I get the impression that the pause is more comprehensive because of

Hi Karla, your initial interpretation is correct - the fund managers will still evaluate applications during the pause, but due diligence and payments won't be processed until 1 August. "We likely won’t evaluate all applications by 1 June, but we will prioritize time-sensitive and promising applications and aim to complete evaluations for those before the pause" refers to the fact that any applications not evaluated by 1 June won't be processed until 1 August, not that they won't be evaluated until 1 August.
However, I still can't give a concrete probability that you'll hear back by mid-August given that this is highly dependent on capacity constraints; make sure to note your time-sensitivity in your application, and the EAIF will make every effort to evaluate it expediently.
