EU animal welfare consultation (10 min request)

I just recently found that the EU Commission is running a consultation about the animal welfare reforms it intends to present. You can fill it in here even if you are not an EU citizen. The consultation will be open until the 12th December 2025.

Also worth mentioning that I found about this from a post of Anima International, who published a YouTube video on how to fill it in.

Also, for some reason, it seems about 3/5 of the answers come from France, which has historically been a very pro-farmer country.

Quick comment: in most questions, they totally ignore fish and invertebrates. On "other" I am adding these examples. For instance: 7. To what extent should imports of animal products comply with equivalent animal welfare standards to those applied in the EU? Other > free text
