TL;DR

Supercycle is a newly launched personal and professional development community platform informed by coaching EAs. (Here's the full EA Forum announcement.)

We’re looking for instructors to create courses and/or run workshops in the summer!

We’re open to working with a variety of people and disciplines that are compatible with the Supercycle ethos, so no need to hold back on expressing interest, though you can find more detail on who would be a good fit below.

Intro to Supercycle

Supercycle is a community platform that includes free community access with free content, a course libraryworkshops, and coaching for individuals, pairs, & groups. We’ll even have 'study' groups, town halls, open office hours, fireside chats and other public & community events.

Our courses, workshop and coaching cover three areas:

Here’s a short overview of our approach:

Supercycle embodies an approach where the road to greater agency and betterment comes from:

You can find more on our approach to personal & professional development and some back story about how we got here in the EA Forum announcement.

Express interest in being an instructor at Supercycle!

The “Supercycle Development Collective” is our full legal nonprofit name because we envisioned expanding the community to include workshops and course library offerings from a variety of different practitioners.

How we’re thinking about this

We’d love for our community to have “pockets” of personal and professional developmental interests, including potential instructors who would like to bring more of their practice to a wider audience.

We think that having a collection of people who want to bring these developmental practices to others will be enriching for themselves, other practitioners learning alongside them, and the Supercycle community at large.

We’re currently aiming to have a ‘cohort’ of a handful of instructors that would like to develop their workshops and/or recorded courses that will be delivered in the summer.

Informed by our experience running a coaching training program, we currently have Coaching Training courses and workshop offerings, but would also like for practitioner development to not only come from the Supercycle team.

There’s so much to learn when it comes to these forms of development and we see real potential here for a vibrant network of people interested in delivering personal and professional development to blossom.

Compensation

We’re interested in working out various pay arrangements, including direct pay, pay based on workshop series attendance and subscription referrals, opportunities for others to buy your workshops directly, and other collaborative trades.[1]

If you’d like to have supplementary offerings, including personal coaching sessions that accompany your workshop material, we’re happy for you to earn by providing that. Also, your intellectual property will remain entirely yours.

It’s likely you’d make more if you were to deliver your own workshops series by yourself. If that’s the case, why run workshops at Supercycle?

You might want to build your offerings with us because:

To give you a sense of where we are at the time of launching, Supercycle is still bootstrapping funding for the co-founders through fundraising, generating revenue via subscriptions, and continuing our 'day jobs' (Tee is still coaching full-time).

We'd love to get to a place where we can make bets by paying people directly to develop content.

Who would be a good fit?

Something we’d suggest applicants consider most is whether the vibe of Supercycle, especially that which is outlined in this Our Approach section resonates. We’re happy to clarify things as well as we explore working together.

Don’t worry if you feel that your profile doesn’t seem to be a perfect fit. We’d like to have a diverse group of instructors, so we’d be excited to be persuaded, take chances and examine our own assumptions about people during this process.

On a more concrete note, the first group of practitioners will mostly consist of people who’ve already gotten early traction in guiding others in some form (e.g. sustaining a coaching or therapy practice, consistent mentoring, leadership of a project, experience in management), especially in high-responsibility contexts.

It’s less likely that we’d invite those without any kind of traction to be instructors.

We’re more likely to see potential in working with you as a guest instructor if:

Hope to hear from you!
