Announcing EAGxAmsterdam 2025 (Dec 12–14) – and an invitation to join the team!

We’re excited to announce EAGxAmsterdam 2025, hosted by Effective Altruism Netherlands, taking place 12–14 December at B. Amsterdam (Johan Huizingalaan 763A, Amsterdam).

This 2.5-day conference is designed to strengthen connections across the regional EA ecosystem and deepen understanding of EA-related research and practice. Applications will open in late July, but you can sign up here to get notified when they do.

Amsterdam is one of the largest EA hubs worldwide, according to the EA Survey. It’s well-connected by train and air, and home to a co-working space, regular community events, and a growing number of professionals nearby working on EA-related projects, e.g. BOAS, Catalyze, Doneer Effectief, Lafiya Nigeria, NOVAH, the School for Moral Ambition, The Mission Motor, Timaues, and the Tien Procent Club. The event is aimed primarily at people in the Netherlands and North-West Europe (including the UK), but we also welcome applicants from EA hubs in the US, especially if you’re excited to connect with the growing EA ecosystem in continental Europe. You can read more about the event here.

Help us shape the programme: we're hiring a Speaker & Programme Officer (freelance)

We're also hiring a freelance Speaker & Programme Officer to co-design the agenda, select and support speakers, and work closely with our team to ensure the programme delivers depth, clarity, and connection.

The ideal candidate is well-read in EA, dependable, clear in writing, and connected to strong potential speakers. Event curation experience is a plus, but not required.
