Overview

Oxford Biosecurity Group is building a private group to forecast viral outbreaks and other biosecurity topics. 

Applications for members, collaborators, and partners are open until February 3rd (EOD, any time zone). Find out more on the project's website. 

Who are we looking for?

Minimum requirements:

• ~2+ years of forecasting experience
• Advanced virology, immunology, or biosecurity background (PhD-level or 2-3 years of experience)
• Biosecurity experience (work, volunteering, or research)

We’re especially interested in:

• Infectious disease modellers
• Professors and postdocs in relevant fields
• Biosecurity professionals

What will we be forecasting?

For the initial 3-month trial version we will focus specifically on forecasting viral outbreaks. After this, the focus may be expanded based on interest from stakeholders and potential members, and on funding availability.
